The California Department of Aging administers a broad range of home- and community-based services throughout California, working primarily with the Area Agencies on Aging who serve seniors, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. Administration on Aging
The federal agency in charge of all government aging programs on the federal level. Provides the full text of AOA Update (newsletter) and includes a directory of resources, statistics and information about the Eldercare Locator-a toll-free information and referral service that helps locate services and programs for older people.

Grass-roots advocacy group working to improve resident care in long-term care facilities. Includes "report card" of all nursing homes in the state, with any violations or fines.
